Inflatable above ground pools seem to be all the rage these days. The convenient, temporary swimming area can transform a regular old yard into a splashing playground. There are some pros can cons to purchasing, assembling and storing the unit. After considering the information you may find that a backyard oasis is easier to achieve than you think.

These units come in remarkably small boxes. When my husband brought home one of the bigger inflatable above ground pools I thought that he had bought a smaller model. After some work he assembled and inflated the swimming pool and I was amazed by how big it really was. There were some problems we faced with the inflatable above ground pool that I will share for your consideration.

First of all, dont bother getting one of these inflatable above ground pools if you are not willing to do a little work. The ground has to be perfectly flat in order for you to make sure that the unit will not fall over. This is not as easy as it seems.

My husband spent well over three hours making a flat surface for the inflatable swimming pool. He used a lot of sand (which also cost quite a bit of money) to create the flat area in our yard. You need to consider that you will invest a little extra time and money on the inflatable above ground pools if you have an uneven surface in your yard.

We knew the importance of getting the surface very even because our neighbors had an inflatable above ground pool that collapsed last year. When the neighbor saw that we were assembling one of our own he came over with some useful advice. This welcomed information was very helpful in saving us from a possible collapse.

The other thing that served as an obstacle was cleaning the unit for storage. I wasnt really happy with the idea of possible mold growing on the inflatable swimming pool while it was in storage. Clean up was tricky.

Also, the inflatable above ground pools may fit perfectly well in the little box when they arrive at the house. They do not fit into the box after you use them. This was a little disappointing but we dealt with it.

Balancing the trouble assembling and storing the unit with the great fun we had in the swimming pool makes the whole process worth while. Inflatable above ground pools are well worth the money, time and effort.
